How to make your own Bagua Circle Walking Pole
by Julie Hinder

1. Get an empty glass olive oil (or other culinary oil) bottle - the type with the plastic pourer. 250 ml is the smallest size I would use - the larger the bottle, the better the stability.
2. Carefully lever out the pourer with the handle of a spoon.
3. Wash both the bottle and pourer in hot soapy water to remove any remaining oil. You can also soak off and remove the labels if you wish. Leave to dry. Replace the pourer.

4. Stand a bamboo cane or length of dowelling in the bottle. The cane should be roughly your height and should fit snugly in the stopper. If it doesn't, you can wrap some sort of sticky tape around the portion of the pole that will be sitting inside the pourer to pad it out and make it stand nice and vertical.
5. Voila! You can now walk in Bagua circles!
